Lacquered
When you varnish an oil painting, it brings out all the colours in the picture. Lacquering frames has the same effect; it intensifies the colours and makes them almost three dimensional.
To create the high-sheen finish multiple coats of lacquer are required, and between each the frame is sanded with a fine sand paper to ensure perfect smoothness.
Examples of our lacquered finish in some of our frame and mirror designs:
- - Double bullnose round mirror in neon yellow lacquer.
- - A sleek black lacquer mirror with brass metal clips.
- - The Basin print by Salty Wings in a sea green lacquered box frame.
- - Samples of our lacquer finish in graphite and black.
