Timber

Timber is such a fantastic product to work with; different woods vary by grain, colour, and consistency, all creating unique finish opportunities. Our timber finishes include a natural clear wax finish, polished, colour stained, waxed, limed, and colour washed, to name a few. We work with the most well known timbers, including oak, ash and pine, but also have access to many others.

Examples of our timber finishes in bespoke frame and mirror projects: 

• - A small ceramic hand in a waxed walnut frame splined with ash.
• - An Alice Williams oil painting in our Hadlow Down stained timber frame with gold metal leaf detailing. 
• - A shaped tall mirror in solid oak. 
• - Vintage maps framed in a bespoke stained ash frame profile. 
• - A contemporary rounded mirror in a stained oak. 
• - A pink ceramic Marquette by Sara Dodd floated on a linen mount with matching fillets and a waxed oak frame. 
  
• - Samples of our timber finishes in ash with a walnut stain and oak with a dark oak stain.
